SilverIsland Yoga - The Ultimate Yoga Retreat

It's hard to put into words the 12 years of collaboration and friendship with the ultimate destination for Yoga retreats, on the private island 'Argyronisos'.

Retreats on this remote little island began without a constant supply of water and electricity, with the aim of allowing the visitor to tackle inner challenges with Yoga practice, delicious fresh food, connecting with nature and each other, contacting with oneself, getting some good sleep!

All that the human body needs to renew, to 'regenerate', to...recharge batteries.

That is where past attachments and future ambitions don't matter. It's all about being in the NOW.

Year after year brought small changes... maybe a tweak in the food, a new animal joining the family, maybe an extra water collection tank, electricity, maybe a new hammock swinging from a tree, or the lovable Rob (monk seal) found the Roberta of his life!!!

My relationship with Argyronisi? Many weeks as a guest Yoga teacher, a relationship of order but also disorder, of deep connection and love, which is only grows stronger now that the island has closed for good. The year 2025 was the first year since 2012, that I did not go to the island. I haven't seen the Christie sisters (yet), but they are always there and when we meet again it will feel like as if not a day has passed. I will always wish them prosperity and health wherever they are on earth....!
